One Premier League side and 3 Championship sides compete for a place in the Final.

West Brom v Portsmouth: 5 Apr 12:15
West Brom's player of the last round was striker Ishmael Miller, who scored a hat-trick against Bristol Rovers, taking his FA Cup goal tally to 5 goals and 2 assists.

Roman Bednar is the Baggies' second highest goal-scorer in this season's FA Cup, with 3 goals and 2 assists. Bednar has also scored 12 goals in the Championship this season.

Portsmouth's highest point earner in this season's CYKI FA Cup is goalkeeper David James with 30 points, thanks to 3 out of 4 clean sheets and a penalty save against Preston.

With Jermain Defoe cup-tied, Pompey will be looking to the likes of John Utaka or possibly even David Nugent to score their goals. Nugent is the only Portsmouth striker to have scored in the FA Cup this season.

Barnsley v Cardiff: 6 Apr 16:00
Unfortunately for Barnsley, they will be without leading FA Cup scorer and point earner, defender Stephen Foster through injury.

Midfielder Brian Howard is their leading scorer in the league, with 13 goals, so should be on your list of potentials.

Peter Whittingham is Cardiff's leading point earner in the FA Cup, with 3 goals and 2 assists.

If you are looking for a striker however, why not take a look at Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink who has a goal in the FA Cup and 6 league goals.

Which players to look out for in the next round.

Middlesbrough v Cardiff City

Middlesbrough have kept clean sheets in their last 2 FA Cup games, so maybe a defender would be a good choice. David Wheater has scored 3 league goals and 1 FA Cup goal, and at 4.5 is a bargain price.

Cardiff midfielders Joe Ledley and Paul Parry are the Bluebirds' leading league goalscorers, with 7 goals. Both players cost 4.0, but Parry has a goal and an assist in the FA Cup, whereas Ledley has an assist.

Manchester United v Portsmouth
11.0 may be a lot to spend on one player, but Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo is worth every penny. 21 league goals, 6 Champions League goals and 3 FA Cup goals make him THE must-have player.

Midfielder Nico Kranjcar is one of three Portsmouth players who have scored in the FA Cup. He has also scored 3 goals and made 3 assists in the Premier League.

Bristol Rovers v West Brom
Rovers are the lowest ranked team left in the competition, but they have already beaten Premier League side Fulham and Championship side Southampton, so shouldn't be discounted

Rovers' leading scorer in the league as well as the FA Cup is striker Rickie Lambert, who may be worth a shot at just 5.0

Football League player of the year Kevin Phillips may be West Brom's leading scorer with 17 league goals, but he has only played 45 minutes in 3 FA Cup games, so you may want to look at Roman Bednar.

Bednar has 12 league goals and 3 FA Cup goals (4 if you include their replay against Charlton) and at 5.0, he could leave you money to spend elsewhere.

Barnsley v Chelsea
Championship side Barnsley knocked out Liverpool in the previous round. Midfielder Brian Howard scored the winning goal against Liverpool and is also their leading scorer in the league with 10 goals.

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard scored twice in the last round of the FA Cup and since his return from injury, he has also scored in the league and in the Champions League.

The quarter finals for the FA Cup have been made with Chelsea playing away to Barnsley and Manchester United again being drawna gainst top flight opponents...

FA Cup 5th round player news

Liverpool v Barnsley
Both Liverpool and Barnsley failed to score in their last respective league games, but with a home tie and 29 league places separating them, Liverpool have the advantage.

Player to watch:
Yossi Benayoun - Liverpool: Can he replicate his Round 4 hat-trick in Round 5?

Manchester United v Arsenal
The only tie with 2 Premier League sides. Will home advantage help United bounce back from a 2-1 defeat against Man. City, or will Arsenal stretch their unbeaten run to 5 games?

Player to watch:
Emmanuel Adebayor - Arsenal: 19 league goals and 2 FA Cup goals makes Adebayor a must-have player.

Sheffield United v Middlesbrough
Since a 2-0 defeat on New Year's day, Middlesbrough have not lost in 2008. Sheffield United have drawn their last 4 games, with 2 clean sheets in the last 2.

Player to watch:
Afonso Alves - Middlesbrough: Can Boro's new Brazilian striker score his first goal for the club?

Preston v Portsmouth
Portsmouth's top scorer Benjani has left the club and new signing Jermaine Defoe is cup-tied. Preston have won 2 of their last 4 games, including a 2-1 victory over West Brom.

FA Cup 5th round player news

Bristol Rovers v Southampton
League 1 side Rovers, who have only lost once in 2008, have the home advantage over a Southampton side, whose last 2 games have ended in defeat.

Player to watch:
Stern John - Southampton: 4 goals in the last 3 games.

Cardiff v Wolves
Cardiff and Wolves both have 44 points in the Championship, with neither side having a win in the last 3 games.

Player to watch:
Andy Keogh - Wolves: Wolves' top scorer in the FA Cup with 2 goals.

Chelsea are 56 places above their League One opponents, and are favourites for the win, but will Avram Grant rotate his squad?

Player to watch:

Coventry v West Brom

The draw for the fifth round has been made and its produced another all premiership game for Manchester United as they will host Arsenal. Chelsea will host Huddersfield and Liverpool will host Barnsley.

Bristol Rovers could make it through to the Quarter Finals being given a home draw to Southahmpton, and Sheffield United will host Middlesborough.

The 5th Round

Get your friends involved in Round 4.

There is a prize for the best manager in each round of CanYouKickIt FA Cup Fantasy Football, so you can compete on a Round basis as well as for the overall prize.

Maybe you have some friends who didn't register in time for Round 3, but would like to play now?

Even if your friends weren't involved in Round 3, they can still take part in the game and compete. All you need to do is create a new league starting from Round 4 and invite your friends to join.

Your Round 3 scores will still remain in any leagues you joined at the start of the competition, but you will start on an even footing with your friends in the new league, so you've got nothing to lose except your pride!

So, go on, create a new league today!

Don't get caught out by the early deadline.

Southend play Barnsley on Friday 25 Jan, meaning the Round 4 deadline is 25 Jan 19:45 GMT so make sure that you get your team changes in before then.

So, looking at the fixtures, which players are you going to bank on for Round 4?

There are only 11 Premier League teams left in the competiton, 6 of whom are playing each other:

  • Arsenal v Newcastle
  • Wigan v Chelsea
  • Manchester United v Tottenham
  • Of the other 5 fixtures involving Premier League teams, Liverpool v Havant and Waterlooville of the Conference South looks to be a 'banker', but which players will Rafa send out against a side who are 6 leagues below them?

Middlesbrough, who have drawn their last 2 league games, are away at League 2 side Mansfield, who currently lie second bottom of the whole football league.

'Boro Defender David Wheater scored in the last round as did midfielder Stewart Downing, so maybe they are worth a look.

One final thing to note, Round 3's player of the round Dan Shittu is away on African Cup of Nations duty with Nigeria and is therefore unavailable!

The draw for the fourth round has been made and its pulled up some all premiership ties again, with Arsenal facing either Stoke or Newcastle, Chelsea playing Wigan at the JJB and Manchester United playing the winners of the replay between Tottenham & Reading.

The draw for the fourth round has been made and its pulled up some all premiership ties again, with Arsenal facing either Stoke or Newcastle, Chelsea playing Wigan at the JJB and Manchester United playing the winners of the replay between Tottenham & Reading.

Plus there could be a 'Cupset' from the likes of Havant & Waterlooville away to Liverpool, but that all relies on Liverpool beating Luton Town in their replay!

  • Arsenal v Stoke or Newcastle
  • Coventry v Walsall or Milwall
  • Oldham v Huddlesfield
  • Swindon or Barnet v Fulham or Bristol Rovers
  • Wigan v Chelsea
  • Luton or Liverpool v Swansea City or Havant and Waterlooville
  • Southend v Barnsley
  • Southampton v Norwich or Bury
  • Manchester United v Spurs or Reading
  • Portsmouth v Plymouth
  • Derby or Sheffield Wed v Preston
  • Watford v Wolves
  • Peterborough v Charlton or WBA
  • Sheffield Utd v West Ham or Man City
  • Mansfield Town v Middlesbrough
  • Tranmere/ Hereford v Cardiff

As usual the FA Cup third round threw up plenty of surprises which made picking a successful fantasy team a difficult task.

As usual, the FA Cup third round threw up plenty of surprises which made picking a successful fantasy team a difficult task.

My team featured a goalkeeper / defenders from:

  • Fulham - conceded two against Bristol Rovers
  • Wolves - conceded one against Cambridge United
  • Cardiff - conceded one against Chasetown
  • Southend - conceded two against Dagenham & Redbridge
  • Everton - conceded one against Oldham

So much for guaranteed clean sheets against supposedly easy opposition! Which picks made / broke your third round?
